The Library

Books smell like must
most are filled with dust
for students come to talk
and to facebook stock
some do study
but you must always have a buddy
A nap will be needed soon
because tonight we are all headed to the saloon!


Now finals are approaching
and students need some coaching.
The library is full
some saying "Studying's bull"
but their grades will show it
The rest praying they don't blow it.

The Library where books are to be read
and little words are to be said.
The Library where learning is flourishing
and caffeine is nourishing
The Library a place to nap in the corner
and for the failing grade mourner.
The Library a good friend of mine
and those nasty chairs made out of fake pine.
I shall miss our time together
but will remember you forever.
Oh the Library what a place to be
for graduating college it was a big help to me.

Rain

For flowers rain rocks
but I dislike wet socks
Wet hair makes me cold
My wet shoes tend to smell like mold.
Stepping in a puddle is no fun
but with rain boots it is a ton.
muddy dogs are a mess
Mothers tend to stress.
Carrying an umbrella can be a hassle
but it protects me like a princess in a castle.
The sound of the rain makes me sleepy
It makes me think that the Angels are weepy.
Then a rainbow peeks out with light
Shining a beautiful array of colors so bright.
For puddles and mud were for a reason
It has brought the sunshine season.
